The difficult-to-remove carbides (hard carbon) attached to the EGR cooler were cleaned by crushing them with tools such as drills. "KST-AL" was developed to clean the carbon attached to aluminum EGR coolers. This document introduces the product's cleaning tests. As a preliminary test, we used a motorcycle piston to confirm aluminum corrosion and to check the time and temperature required for carbon stain removal.
